During his recent trip to Argentina, Junta de Andalucia President Manuel Chaves multiplied the number of Argentines eligible to vote in the regional and local elections “four times”, according to one of his aides. The children of Andalucians who emigrated to Argentina have had the right to vote in Spain for some years, but now Chaves has promised to extend that right to their grandchildren by the end of this year. That should get him a few more votes in if he decides to run for re-election in 2012.
