Marbella Mayor Angeles Muñoz announced last week that the Council plans to demolish two of the six buildings that the Junta de Andalucia had asked her to pull down. She said the two demolitions would not affects individuals as they were not residential. She added that the developers had not had a building licence in these two cases. She said the Council was waiting for the General Urban Plan (PGOU) to be approved before considering further demolitions. She also pointed out that some developers had been granted permits and even if these had been obtained in questionable circumstances the Council would still have to pay out huge sums in compensation.
