JUNTA TO TIGHTEN ANTI-SMOKING LAW

The Junta de Andalucía took advantage of the World No Tobacco Day last Saturday to announce that it is considering tightening the anti-smoking restrictions to ban smoking in all bars and restaurants with less than 100 square metres. The measure, if passed, would affect some 9,000 bars and restaurants in Malaga province alone where smokers are currently allowed to indulge their vice. Latest figures show that while the number of adult make smokers has dropped, young people and women are smoking more than ever.
