Two people died in Andalucia last Thursday as a result of the storms that affected many parts of Spain last week. A 58-year-old man fell to his death in Jimena de la Frontera, Cadiz province, when he tried to fix the roof of his warehouse that had been torn down by high winds, and a 60-year-old man drowned in Paradas, Sevilla, while trying to cross a stream on his quad. In Malaga province, the fire brigades had a busy time dealing with damage caused by the high winds which blew at up to 90 kmh in several areas. Most of the incidents involved fallen trees blocking roads or securing billboards which were in danger of being ripped from their supports. A woman in Ronda was taken to hospital after a small billboard fell on her head in a central street.
