Antequera is the biggest municipality in the Guadalhorce Valley, with a population of 45,000, many of whom live far out in the surrounding countryside. Now the Town Hall has decided to make life easier for them, although they will have to have an internet connection to take advantage of the latest facility. The council has just set up its own website to allow residents to pay their taxes and apply for living building licences, among other things, from the comfort of their own homes. The website cost 200,000 euros to set up and was inaugurated last Saturday by Mayor Ricardo Millan.
