Former Marbella Mayor Julián Muñoz, who was arrested in the Malaya corruption investigation and is serving time for urban planning crimes, could soon get his first weekend pass out of Alhaurín de la Torre jail if the judge decides to accept the prison’s proposal. The ex Mayor has been inside for almost two years and has served more than half of his original sentence. However, his case is complicated by the fact that his jail sentences keep piling up. Muñoz was refused a pass last Christmas after being sentenced in the Moansa urban planning case, and he has recently been sentenced to another 18 months for two other planning crimes.
