Two gay Argentineans travelled to Madrid last week to tie the knot before heading back home to campaign for gay marriage in their own country. Cesar Cigliutti, 50, and Marcelo Suntheim, 39, said: “It will be a right royal battle but we’re willing to take the matter to the highest court in our land to get the same rights for the gay community there.” The men formalised a civil union in Argentina in 2003 to become the first gay couple anywhere in Latin America to do so.
