Police in Hampshire, England, have called on holidaymakers visiting the Costa Tropical to keep their eyes open for 68-year-old James Paine, who went missing from Almuñecar last November. James, a keen walker, was last seen at the Helios Hotel on the Paseo de la Flores in the San Cristobal area of Almuñecar on November 27th. He was staying there alone as part of a SAGA holiday, and was reported missing by his sister on November 30th. He failed to catch his flight back to Gatwick on December 18th. Mr Paine has a false eye, and was often seen wearing a green waterproof Parker jacket. A spokesman for the Hampshire police said that the Spanish police have carried out extensive enquiries in the case. He said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or spoken to Jim, particularly in the days before his disappearance, or anyone who knows his whereabouts.”
